At Bloom & Wolf, we believe flowers can be more than just beautiful, they can carry meaning, express strength, and tell a story. We’re therefore incredibly proud to share a project that embodies all of that: our newest project for Nike, in honor of the Netherlands women’s national football team.
Introducing the orange fatalis
As the team sets its sights on the Euros, we were busy designing a flower for Nike. One that represented the power, pride, and fierce spirit of the Leeuwinnen. Not just any tulip, but a new symbol of national strength — with a sharp twist.
The result is the orange fatalis: a tulip with thorns.
A flower for the fans
This isn’t your typical Dutch flower. It’s striking, vivid, and unafraid. Just like the team it was made for. The thorns represent the edge and determination of the players, while the fiery orange speaks for itself. The orange fatalis is more than a bloom, it’s a statement.
To celebrate the Leeuwinnen and their fans, the orange fatalis will be available for free at select flower stalls in Amsterdam on match days, but only if you show up wearing orange.
